54 SOUND is a design/build of a 500 sq. ft. professional sound studio.

The client asked for a sound studio with high acoustical performance, but which also challenged conventional notions with its materiality. “Live” acoustical spaces were developed with a warm material vocabulary through collaboration with a sound engineer; adjacent “dead” mechanical spaces were developed as contrasting cool spaces.

Cut off from exterior stimuli, you just might "lose yourself" in here (hint hint).
